Introduction
Welcome to the Vancouver Architecture website by Michael Priebe. This website highlights a small selection of significant buildings that have characterized the Vancouver city landscape for over 100 years from its pioneering beginnings in 1886 to the sophisticated maturity of hosting the world in 1986 for the Expo 86 World’s Fair. As noted, some photos were sourced from the Vancouver Public Library’s collection of Historical Photographs of BC and the Yukon. The photos from the VPL collection are public domain. All other photos were taken by Michael Priebe. Works cited for the content of this site are listed on the References page.
